Vision
Indigenous Peoples actively leading and participating in sustainable community transformation.

Mission
Kalayag is an Indigenous Peoples organization that provides training, programs, and services designed to empower communities and drive meaningful transformation.

Meet the Founders

Kalayag was founded by Pio and Sonia Arce in 1994 after moving to Mindanao to work with the Matigsalug tribes.
Starting with scholarships and technical training, Kalayag grew into an organization serving entire communities. With decades of experience, Pio and Sonia realized that true change comes when indigenous people take the lead in caring for their families and environment, guided by faith and a restored sense of dignity.
